VOL and DIRT controls work together to deliver sonic satisfaction. Don’t think of them as separate drive and level controls, think more stage 1 (VOL) into stage 2 (DIRT) working in tandem to overdrive your signal (Rather than use more words, you'll just have to get one and have fun). 

EQ control is a treble cut, maxed out you have a transparent tone, if you roll it back it makes it creamy. This is a new take on a classic overdrive in the ever so popular modern, small form factor.
